EYC is affiliated to main EFA platforms; - GCE, ANCEFA, IDAY. and  IDASA For purposes of this partnership, we will take maximum advantage of all the opportunities available as a result of our membership to the two networks to improve our capability to deliver on any commitments we undertake. Global campaign for educationGlobal campaign For Education (GCE)
Since inception in 1999 the GCE has become an increasingly effective vehicle for mobilising and coordinating citizen action and global campaigns around EFA goals. Each year ever since Dakar Forum, the GCE has been coordinating Global Week of Action observed every April. Africa Network Campaign on Education For AllAfrica Network Campaign on Education For All (ANCEFA)

ANCEFA was formed immediately after the World Education Forum in Dakar in the year 2000, to promote, enable and build capacity of African civil society to advocate and campaign for access to free quality education for all citizens of Africa. Since then civil society organizations have been able to build very strong, broad based and active coalitions around EFA. In Africa ANCEFA has been taking lead in facilitating and coordinating building of EFA coalitions and campaign networks around thematic areas or specific Dakar goals. These coalitions include in their membership; teacher unions, parents' associations, community based organizations, faith-based institutions, media practitioners, NGOs and pressure or lobby groups. ANCEFA has so far managed to facilitate the process of building coalitions in 30 countries within Africa. we undertake. EYC is a member of ANCEFA and is affiliated to GCE. IDAYIDAY

IDAY is an international network of organisations of the African and European civil societies supporting education in Africa. It seeks to empower these organisations to enhance their capacity to carry citizens' control of government expenditures on education and engage in a constructive dialogue with the public authorities to get them to respect basic education rights. In particular, IDAY organises with all its members the International Day of the African Childhood – June 16 – to promote together the objective of basic education for all. IDASAIDASA

IDASA is an independent public interest organisation committed to building sustainable democratic societies in collaboration with African and global partners.

IDASA is working with partners in Kenya for the Right to Know, Right to Education project. This project's activities focus on: increasing the democratic space around the development of the national budget; sensitising policy-makers to better alignment between education policy and its corresponding budget lines; sensitising communities to their right of access to information; and improving parental involvement in local school governance. http://www.idasa.org.za/
