On June 20, 2025, Elimu Yetu Coalition proudly joined the global community in commemorating World Refugee Day, a moment to honor the courage, strength, and resilience of millions of refugees around the world.
Under the 2025 theme, “Voices of Resilience: Celebrating Refugee Strength and Solidarity,” the Coalition stood in solidarity with displaced communities—highlighting the importance of inclusive education, dignity, and protection for all, especially children and youth in refugee settings.
At Elimu Yetu Coalition, we believe that every child—regardless of their status—has the right to quality, safe, and inclusive education.
As we reflect on this year’s theme, we reaffirm our commitment to advocating for equitable access to education for all learners, including refugee children who continue to demonstrate remarkable resilience and determination to learn despite adversity.
