EYC is being funded by Wellspring under the project; Reducing gender based barrier to adolescent girls education and skills in Kenya. The project targets 8 counties namely; Narok, Homabay, West pokot, Bungoma, Nyeri, Isiolo, Tanariver and Wajir. EYC has conducted a diagnostic survey through courtesy visit with the County Director of Education in Narok, Homabay, Westpokot, Bungoma and Isiolo to monitor the retention of girls in schools especially at the upper primary.
The information obtained will be important in tracking the effective implementation of policies to address gender inequalities.
