The Coalition, through the County Education Networks (CENs) is represented in most of the counties. To build a strong and effective movement, the CENs needs to be strengthened to be able to carry out their mandate and push the agenda of Education for All at the county level. Turkana and Baringo County are some of the Counties that are marginalised due to hostile geographical environment and a vulnerable pastoral economy. The coalition do not have representation in the two counties. With the support of Education Out Loud funding the coalition managed to visit the two counties with the following objectives;
- To begin a process of establishing the Baringo and Turkana County Education Network (CEN)
- To get initial and crucial contacts of stakeholders with the view of supporting the establishment Process.
During the visit, the National Coordinator managed to make a courtesy visit to the Education Offices in the respective counties. He created awareness of the Coalition’s activities. Additionally, the coordinator engaged with Non-state actors and got contacts of key stakeholders
